It’s weeks like this that all I really crave is a good cuppa. Anyone else feel like that? Sure, add some booze if you wish, but there is nothing better than a good brew. And no milk for me thanks. Your tea should be tasty enough that it doesn’t need milk; which is why I would swoon for this spot Sweet Tea. Yeah, they don’t do cocktails but the design of this space is smooth, moody and cosy.

Small Tea is based in Florida, and calls for people to come in and relax with their mantra stating “…the truth is: we think coffee could really use a cup of tea right about now. And so could you.

Designed by the owners in collaboration with Osmose, the outcome is somewhat of a polished Portland cafe. Polished concrete floors, warm oak timber panelling, hand a hessian canopy to the dining / drinking area creating a cosy and intimate atmosphere. And with the addition of bar stools, Lievore Altherr Molina lounge chairs, pendant lighting and copper touches, this could very well be mistaken for a boutique cocktail bar, don’t you think?

Smart and sophisticated, just what I like in a cuppa.

Have a swell weekend, y’all.
