Innovation is at the very core of the Lysaght building which is host to some of New Zealand’s most talented up-and-coming entrepreneurs whom are given the opportunity to work in a space with like-minded people. The international trend of innovators and visionaries coming out of the woodwork and sharing, collaborating and imparting knowledge by working in a shared space is growing momentum across the world. This philosophy of bringing great minds together is recognised by councils across the globe as one of the most effective methods of gathering an eco-system of greatness.

The GridAkl located in Wynyard Quarter housed in the regenerated Lysaght building was driven by ATEED and shared-space entrepreneurs Biz Dojo. Engaged as the interior designers and fit out company, Spaceworks worked alongside a bevy of stakeholders to complete an outstanding result. Warren and Mahoney carried out a skillful base build renovation, retaining much of its original street presence and raw finishes within. Our Spaceworks designers had to design for consistent and constant fluctuations in staff levels and types of people which meant a huge array of desk and meeting options which range from quiet pods and lightweight hot-desks.

The interior is akin to a relaxed, laid-back environment with corporate headquarters overtones and allows for consistent flexibility to house the future of our country.
