Kebab shops are notoriously renowned for looking like fast food, late-night eatery spots. Our client – Kebab King wanted to transition this insalubrious image to something which resonated fresh, healthy and highly appealing. We were tasked with transforming the brand and doing a complete fit out. We re-designed the look and feel to something which would not only lift the image of Kebabs but also make Kebab King stand right out from the crowd.

Positioned in a high-foot traffic food hall, the newly designed Kebab King looks polished, sophisticated and welcoming. The new logo (which we designed) is funky, edgy and eye-catching and coupled with the by-line of ‘so fresh, so healthy’ opens up the target market to customers who wouldn’t ordinarily consider Kebabs as a healthy fast food option.

A plethora of finishes were selected to work cohesively together as one complete unit and to also amplify interest and sophistication. Natural wood paneling combined with three tile types gives the shop some serious pop. Amalgamating white subways, large format hexagonal tiles (with pink grouting and denotes a honeycomb effect) and combined graphic ceramic tiles with a mixture of spots and traditional ethnic patterns, together all create a feast for the senses. It must have worked too because, within two weeks of opening Kebab King in St Lukes, sales increased by 75%!
