The SPCA needed Spaceworks to transform an existing clunky space which was dark and awkward for customers to navigate and find products for sale. They needed to maximize the small space available, showcase 100s of small items and create a natural flow of foot traffic to ensure all the merchandise was amplified throughout. As well as creating an amazing space it is also important to note, the SPCA is funded by donations and benefactors so the budget was extremely tight. Spaceworks had to think beyond the traditional to ensure they delivered an exceptional project on time and within budget. This was achieved by thinking outside of the square and collaborating with contractors for special pricing and goodwill products and services.

The interior was re-designed to be light, bright and fresh which elevated the look and feel and gave the shop more soul. Pops of block colour in yellow and magenta and lovable animal silhouette cut-outs were used as signage giving the store character and personality. Other design elements included the use of Astroturf, tree graphics and pops of green throughout to give reference to the outdoors.

The result is a bright, happy and cheerful space which gives a nod to the positive impact the SPCA have on our animals and the retail space encourages shoppers to browse, enjoy and ultimately make a purchase for their beloved pet.
