The brief for this space was to create an inviting and cohesive design across ‘The Cut’ bar, restaurant, informal waiting area and private dining room. The private dining room had to have an identity of its own, yet one that still complements the restaurant’s interiors and branding. A brief we think our brilliant designers have more than fulfilled.

Dark hues of green and cool calming blue adorn the walls throughout all spaces, with dado rails used to add a classic design touch and generate interest on what would have been sparse walls. Warm tones can be seen throughout the space in the form of brass, leather, and most noticeably front and centre in the Rimu Room, the bespoke native Rimu table with brass surround.
Many ‘wow’ pieces are used sparingly throughout the spaces, including breath-taking rounded bronze mirrors, designer glass globe pendants and beautiful photography from Josh Griggs.

In addition to interior design, Spaceworks were also asked to provide branding for the Rimu Room and a menu for Cut Restaurant. Using Rimu as the inspiration, we explored this concept finding a miraculous relationship between the Rimu tree and the Native Kakapo parrot. This almost symbiotic relationship was too fortuitous not to reflect.

Consequently, our team has achieved truly beautiful yet understated spaces, from the private dining room to the bar, they are sure to entice any guest and compliment a truly special dining experience.
